Last class the 7th year students had learned to create the antidote to love potions with the promise that his class they would get to create the love potion itself. It seemed they would not be disappointed.
Megara took her usual stance on the dais at the front of the class, a smile on her face as she watched her just as excited students enter the classroom, already aware of what they would be brewing today. She loved her N.E.W.T level classes, where she could instruct students in the brewing of the most advanced potions, and her students seemed to enjoy it equally as much. “Welcome! I’m sure you all remember what it is we will be doing today. As promised we will start brewing what they call basic Love Potions. Now whereas powerful infatuations can be induced by the skillful potioneer, never yet has anyone managed to create the truly unbreakable, eternal, unconditional attachment that alone can be called love." She said with a stern gaze. It was important that the students understood that love potions were considered powerful and highly dangerous, not inducing love so much as causing the drinker to become infatuated or obsessed with the person who gave it to them, and that they were banned at Hogwarts outside of her classroom.
“Now it is also important to note that the drinker WILL remember being under the potion's influence, and is typically left embarrassed because of the potent and obvious effects of the potion.” She adds, as she begins to ready certain ingredients on the front table which included ashwinder eggs, rose thorns, peppermint, powdered moonstone, and pearl dust. Meanwhile, the students flipped open their books and readied their cauldrons. Once all of the ingredients were laid out, she motioned for them to come gather the necessary items and begin their attempts at brewing their first love potion.
